NEW Sheila Fleet Kirkwall Shop Update!
Sep 6, 2024
After two years of working behind-the-scenes on our new Kirkwall Gallery location, we thought it ...
If you’re thinking to visit Scotland this year and hoping to view Sheila Fleet Jewellery, these are where our five retail stores are located…
Opened in 2021, Sheila’s St Andrew’s store is one to add to your list! Enjoy an experience where all your senses are awakened by the unique interior and by Sheila’s extensive collection of jewellery. Inspired by stars and the cosmos, this contemporary space holds many fascinating features.
The concept for our St Andrews shop is to take the customer back to the very beginning of the universe. Back to when elements began to coalesce and we had the birthing of stars, galaxies, planets, and all the elements we find on our wonderful Blue Planet today. The beauty of the natural world, present in so much of Sheila’s jewellery, is now within the store itself.
Our St Andrews Gallery is located at 2 Bell Street, in the centre of the historic town. The shop is a short 5-minute walk from both the bus station and the University of St Andrews.
Sheila is delighted to have established a beautiful shop on Buchanan Street, located within Princes Square, Glasgow’s favourite speciality shopping destination. The concept for this stunning gallery was to create an environment for Sheila's jewellery as inspiring and beautiful as her island home. Everything within the shop's interior—the lighting, sculptures, ceiling, and walls—reflects the landscape and light of the North.
Find us on the first floor in Princes Square, Buchanan Street.
Sheila opened her lovely gallery in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, in 2008. Edinburgh is a significant city for Sheila. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1960s and was awarded an Honorary Degree in 2014. Her jewellery is even hallmarked here so it's fitting that the first gallery to open outside Orkney was also in Scotland's capital.
Our Edinburgh Gallery is situated at 18 St Stephen Street, just minutes from the city centre. A pleasant walk will take you through the historic Second New Town into charming Stockbridge, an area full of vintage shops, art galleries and restaurants.
To find Sheila’s Edinburgh gallery, take a pleasant 20-minute downhill walk from Princes Street or catch bus 24, 29 or 42 to the Kerr Street stop in North West Circus Place.
In 1999, Sheila opened her first gallery, located in Kirkwall, Orkney. On the ground floor our shop primarily showcases the full range of Sheila Fleet jewellery and rings. Upstairs you'll find a further selection of designer crafts including a wide range of the best Scottish made ceramics, knitwear, textiles, artworks.
If you walk from Kirkwall Harbour along the town's main shopping street to the Cathedral, you will be following the old shoreline of Kirkwall. About 1,000 years ago you could have stepped from a longboat into our shop! Today we welcome guests disembarking from cruise ships at Kirkwall Pier.
Find Sheila Fleet Kirkwall at 30 Bridge Street, Kirkwall. From St Magnus Cathedral, walk about 300m all the way down Albert Street until you see our small shop on the corner that leads to Bridge Street. Alternatively walk about 100m up Bridge Street from Kirkwall Harbour.
If you’re looking for the ultimate Sheila Fleet experience, then The Kirk Gallery & Café is a must-visit! Situated next to Sheila's home, workshop and office, this beautifully renovated former parish church is a showcase for Sheila Fleet’s jewellery collections, including her very latest designs. In addition, a tasteful extension houses The Kirk Café—a fantastic Orkney food experience offering a variety of dishes made from a range of local Orkney produce.
The Kirk Café is now one of the most popular places to visit in Orkney, holding a TripAdvisor 5-star rating and reviewed as the number 1 location for lunch in Orkney.
