This sterling silver Wild Grasses ring features delicate strands of overlapping hand-enamelled silver, representing the form and shape of marram grass. The design is enhanced with a 3mm moonstone and 2mm cubic zirconia, set by hand in our Orkney workshop. The ring is enamelled in Sheila's Peacock enamel colourway.
The wild and windswept coastlines of Orkney and Caithness, in the north of Scotland, are covered with marram grass that sweeps from side to side in the sea breeze. This hardy grass inspired Sheila to create her 'Wild Grasses' collection. Delicate free-flowing designs, layered with silver or gold, enamel and gemstones.
