This Lunar Universe stretch bracelet in sterling silver features Sheila’s textured cup-mark charm design, hanging from a stretchable silver bangle. The slightly concave charm is beautifully hand-finished in our Orkney workshop in Midnight Gold enamel and features individually placed 24ct yellow gold flakes. The charm design measures approximately 13mm in diameter with an overall drop of 15mm.
Sheila’s Lunar designs are textured like the surface of rock and her Lunar Universe enamelled designs are enhanced with beautiful flakes of 24ct yellow gold. Due to the hand-crafted nature of these designs, and the delicate placement of individual gold flakes by our skilled enamellers, every piece from Sheila's Lunar Universe collection is unique.
Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned. Sheila's inspiration for this collection followed after a visit to the Orkney Museum in Kirkwall, where some of these ancient carvings can be seen.
