This Lover’s Knot kilt pin in sterling silver is enhanced with three amethysts, set by hand in our Orkney workshop. The design is approximately 40mm x 100mm.
This collection was inspired by the traditional Lover’s Knot, a knot which is not readily undone, dating back many centuries to the art of the Celts. Two interlocking lines knot together to make one pattern. It is also known as Josephine’s Knot after Empress Joséphine, the first wife of Napoleon.
