These sterling silver Flagstone statement drop earrings feature five layered silver segments, hand-enamelled in our Orkney workshop. Each earring measures approximately 15mm by 42mm.
Sheila has always been very interested in geology, especially during her early years while studying at Edinburgh College of Art. Flagstones—or flags—have a unique texture and are used for fencing in parts of Caithness, with animals using them as shelter during the winter months. As the stones become weathered they acquire a beautiful colour and texture, and this aged appearance gave Sheila the inspiration for her ‘Flagstone’ collection.
