This sterling silver Flagstone brooch features twelve segments of silver, hand-enamelled in our Orkney workshop in Champagne enamel. The design measures approximately 64mm by 15mm.

Sheila has always been very interested in geology, especially during her early years while studying at Edinburgh College of Art. Flagstones—or flags—have a unique texture and are used for fencing in parts of Caithness, with animals using them as shelter during the winter months. As the stones become weathered they acquire a beautiful colour and texture, and this aged appearance gave Sheila the inspiration for her ‘Flagstone’ collection.
