Birthstones are gemstones that are associated with specific birth months. Traditionally, each month has a designated gemstone believed to bring the wearer good luck, protection, or even healing powers. Birthstones continue to be a popular tradition representing individuality, sentimentality, and a personal connection to one's birth month. Find out more in our Guide to Birthstones.
Based on a design feature in Sheila's Arctic Stream collection, this pendant represents the sparkle of glacial ice, water and rock. As glacial ice moves and changes, rocks of different shapes and sizes are carried with it, often coming to rest beside sparkling meltwater. Arctic Stream is inspired by this process, and by the shapes and colours of glacial ice, water and rock.
Scottish Gold comes from the Cononish Gold Mine in remote hills, near the village of Tyndrum in the west of Scotland. The luxurious metal is cast and beautifully finished in the Sheila Fleet Jewellery workshop in Orkney. The final piece is then tested by Edinburgh Assay Office before being hallmarked as authentic, pure Scottish Gold. All Sheila Fleet Scottish Gold jewellery is supplied in a luxury presentation box, accompanied by a unique serial number and certificate of authenticity. Mined, designed and made in Scotland.
* Please note our pendant chains are standard 18ct gold, not Scottish Gold. Pendants can be ordered without chains by special request.
