We had a visit from polishing guru, Stephen Goldsmith, in April. Stephen is an expert polisher with over 50 years’ experience in the trade. He's worked with a variety of large companies such as Garrard & Co., UK Crown Jeweller, where he polished some amazing creations for the Royal Family, and trophies and cups for events such as the Premier League, Wimbledon, World Cricket and the BRIT Awards.

Now running a consultancy business, Stephen travels all over Europe to share his polishing knowledge with crafters and jewellery businesses.

Stephen spent a week at Sheila Fleet Jewellery teaching our amazing crafters a range of skills, tips and tricks that he has gathered over the years. A great experience for all our employees.

As well as working with the Sheila Fleet Jewellery crafters, Stephen also taught recently engaged customers, Felipe and Gemma, some of the tricks of the trade. The couple were able to spend some time polishing their Sheila Fleet engagement ring! (Watch out for Felipe & Gemma’s engagement blog coming soon.)

We had a great time with Stephen and were delighted to welcome him to Orkney and the Sheila Fleet Jewellery workshop!
