Runic inscriptions are steeped in history and tradition, but Sheila gave her Runic jewellery collection a contemporary twist using enamel colours with her silver and gold designs. Sheila’s iconic Runic Iris design that reads “reflecting times past and present” is based on inscriptions found in Maeshowe, a chambered cairn built in Orkney around 2800 BCE, and was the main inspiration behind Sheila’s silk scarf design. The ombré of deep tones within the scarf beautifully complements the light blue-grey enamel in the jewellery. Pair the scarf with a classic piece from the Runic collection for a stylish look.
This design is one of many silk scarves available from Sheila Fleet.
