This small Ogham pendant in sterling silver is inscribed with Ogham text that reads ‘A blessing on the soul’ and is enhanced with an onyx set by hand in our Orkney workshop. The design delicately drops from a silver wheat chain and measures approximately 16mm in diameter.
This collection was inspired by an Ogham inscription on the Buckquoy spindle-whorl stone, dating from the Early Middle Ages, and found at Buckquoy in Birsay, Orkney, in 1970. The inscription in Ogham is believed to read ‘a blessing on the soul’.
