Each of these sterling silver Mussel drop earrings features two mussel shell designs—one small, one tiny—hand-enamelled in Mussel Blue enamel, and attached to a silver hook. Each shell can move independently when worn, showing either the enamelled interior or the intricate, carved exterior. The earrings have an overall drop of 42mm and are hand-finished in our Orkney workshop.
The Shell collection is inspired by happy days beachcombing along the shorelines of Orkney. Whether it’s shells, driftwood, seaweed, grasses or flowers, Sheila will always come home with a treasure, many of which you will see used in our jewellery displays! The enamel evokes the joy of turning over a shell and discovering the magical, soft colours inside. Many of these designs are reversible. Choose to wear them enamel side up or show off those intricate engraved details on the reverse.
