These sterling silver Mill Sands drop earrings mimic the shapes in sand at low tide. Each earring is elegantly finished with a hematite that delicately hangs from the bottom, and is hand-enamelled in our workshop in Orkney.
This collection is named after the beach below Sheila’s workshop in Tankerness, Orkney. The view over the wide bay is always different, as the light and colour changes with each hour, day and season. Sheila is fascinated with different ways to portray the magic of the sea in her jewellery. Mill Sands is inspired by the unique colours reflected in the wet sands and shallow waters around the shoreline.
