This Mill Sands collar necklace in classic 9ct yellow gold features eleven golden links that mimic shapes seen in the sand at low tide. Each link is approximately 24mm. The necklace is hand-finished in our Orkney workshop and measures approximately 17½" (44cm) in length.
This collection is named after the beach below Sheila’s workshop in Tankerness, Orkney. The view over the wide bay is always different, as the light and colour change with each hour, day and season. Sheila is fascinated with different ways to portray the magic of the sea in her jewellery. Mill Sands is inspired by the unique colours reflected in the wet sands and shallow waters around the shoreline.
