These petite Lunar stud earrings in rare and exclusive 18ct yellow Scottish Gold feature Sheila’s textured Lunar cup-mark design. Each earring is hand-set with a 2.9mm diamond in our Orkney workshop and measures approximately 9mm in diameter.
Lunar is inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned.
Scottish Gold comes from the Cononish Gold Mine in remote hills, near the village of Tyndrum in the west of Scotland. The luxurious metal is cast and beautifully finished in the Sheila Fleet Jewellery workshop in Orkney. The final piece is then tested by Edinburgh Assay Office before being hallmarked as authentic, pure Scottish Gold. All Sheila Fleet Scottish Gold jewellery is supplied in a luxury presentation box, accompanied by a unique serial number and certificate of authenticity. Mined, designed and made in Scotland.
