This small Lunar pendant necklace in sterling silver features Sheila’s textured cup-mark design, hand-enamelled in Frost, and delicately hanging from a silver curb chain. The slightly concave design is hand-set with a 4mm cubic zirconia in our Orkney workshop. The design measures approximately 13mm in diameter, with a 15mm drop including the hanging loop.
Lunar is inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned.
