This Island Panorama occasion pendant in sterling silver is approximately 8mm by 39mm and hangs elegantly on a sterling silver curb chain. The necklace is hand-enamelled in 'Shallows' in our Orkney workshop.
When viewed in wide, sweeping panoramas, Orkney's typically low-lying landscape can often appear as only a narrow strip separating sea and sky. Sheila has reinterpreted these smooth and graceful shapes into a simple, elegant collection in sterling silver and 'Shallows' enamel. This enamel evokes the colour of the sea as it washes over the shallow sands at Glimps Holm, one of many Orkney beaches that are an inspiration to Sheila.
