This Flagstone ring in classic 9ct yellow gold features an asymmetric design around the band and is enhanced with 2mm and 1.5mm diamond, each set by hand. The design is hand-finished in our Orkney workshop.
Sheila has always been very interested in geology, especially during her early years while studying at Edinburgh College of Art. Flagstones—or flags—have a unique texture and are used for fencing in parts of Caithness, with animals using them as shelter during the winter months. As the stones become weathered they acquire a beautiful colour and texture, and this aged appearance gave Sheila the inspiration for her ‘Flagstone’ collection.
