This Flagstone ring in 9ct white gold features an asymmetric design around the band and is hand-finished in our Orkney workshop. The design is enhanced with a 2mm and 1.5mm diamond, set by hand.
Sheila has always been very interested in geology, especially during her early years while studying at Edinburgh College of Art. Flagstones—or flags—have a unique texture and are used for fencing in parts of Caithness, with animals using them as shelter during the winter months. As the stones become weathered they acquire a beautiful colour and texture, and this aged appearance gave Sheila the inspiration for her ‘Flagstone’ collection.
