These sterling silver Flagstone cufflinks feature three layered silver segments, which are hand-enamelled in our Orkney workshop. The design measures approximately 21mm by 13mm.
Sheila has always been very interested in geology, especially during her early years while studying at Edinburgh College of Art. Flagstones—or flags—have a unique texture and are used for fencing in parts of Caithness, with animals using them as shelter during the winter months. As the stones become weathered they acquire a beautiful colour and texture, and this aged appearance gave Sheila the inspiration for her ‘Flagstone’ collection.
