These small Cathedral stud earrings in classic 9ct yellow gold are one of three circular designs inspired by the beautiful sandstone carvings found within Orkney’s St Magnus Cathedral. The intricate designs feature five small wave-like swirls curving around the centre. Each earring measures approximately 9mm in diameter.
Sheila based her Cathedral collection on three beautiful carvings found on the east wall of St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney. Carved into the red sandstone, these date to around the 13th century and may once have been associated with altars dedicated to St Margaret, St Catherine and St Barbara.
