This petite Cathedral pendant is based on one of three circular sandstone carvings in Orkney’s St Magnus Cathedral. This intricate design features five small wave-like swirls curving around the centre. The surface of the pendant has a polished silver finish with the edges of the design highlighted in oxidised silver. The design measures approximately 9mm in diameter.
Sheila based her Cathedral collection on three beautiful carvings found on the east wall of St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney. Carved into the red sandstone, these date to around the 13th century and may once have been associated with altars dedicated to St Margaret, St Catherine and St Barbara.
