This Bluebell dress necklace features three bell-shaped flowers, each hand-enamelled in our Orkney workshop. The design's sterling silver stem mimics the curved shape of the drooping flower stems, heavy with the bell-shaped flower. The piece hangs from a sterling silver neckwire and measures approximately 20mm wide with a 53mm drop.
A hardy flower, bluebells have been growing in gardens in Orkney for generations. These beautiful, delicate flowers are also at home in ancient woodlands all over Scotland and have long been associated with fairies in folklore. Sheila took the inspiration for this collection from bunches of bluebells that grow under the trees in her garden.
