This small Ogham pendant in sterling silver is inscribed with Ogham text that reads ‘A blessing on the soul’ and is enhanced with a rhodolite set by hand in our Orkney workshop. The design delicately drops from a silver wheat chain and measures approximately 16mm in diameter.
This collection was inspired by an Ogham inscription on the Buckquoy spindle-whorl stone, dating from the Early Middle Ages, and found at Buckquoy in Birsay, Orkney, in 1970. The inscription in Ogham is believed to read ‘a blessing on the soul’.
