Delivery & Prices
Our Jewellery is Made Especially For You
Making beautiful jewellery takes time. All jewellery and rings purchased through our website are made-to-order, especially for you (unless you order one of our special ready-to-ship designs). When you place an order, we schedule it to be made in our workshop and then send you a despatch date so you know when your jewellery will leave Orkney.
We are enamelling, polishing and setting stones, all by hand for you, and not simply boxing finished pieces. How long your jewellery will take to reach you depends on several factors, including the type of piece and metal you have chosen, and your shipping address.
Please review the timescales below and contact us if you require your jewellery within 14 days of ordering, or if your despatch date is not suitable. We will do our best to meet your request.
Please note:
-
We cannot accept liability if goods are despatched as agreed, but do not arrive on time due to adverse weather, or a problem with the postal service/delivery company.
-
In the unlikely event of our workshop having to shut down temporarily, some deliveries may be delayed until work is resumed.

Europe (post-Brexit) & worldwide delivery – From £19.99
Delivery to the EU post-Brexit: When placing an order in British Pounds (GBP) on our website, UK VAT will be deducted from the payment total at checkout. If ordering in a different currency (e.g. EUR), UK VAT will already be excluded from our prices. Depending on the delivery country you enter at checkout, you may have the option to pay your country's tax and duty in advance, or you may only be given an estimate of your country's tax and duty. If you are given an estimate, it will be your responsibility to pay your own country's tax and duty/clearance fees on delivery of the parcel in your country. These charges will vary depending on the tax laws in each EU member country. If you have any questions, please get in touch prior to ordering.
- Jewellery made in silver and 9ct yellow gold usually takes 2 weeks to be made and, depending on your shipping destination, can take a further 10-14 days to reach you. Please allow 3-4 weeks in total for your order to be made and delivered.
- Other metals such as white and rose gold, 18ct yellow gold, palladium and platinum are sourced especially for you. Pieces made from these metals may take up to 6 weeks to arrive.
Your order will be sent via Royal Mail International Tracked.
International Express Shipping – from £59.99
Should you require your order urgently, we offer International Express Shipping as a delivery option at checkout. This will be sent via FedEx®, DHL or another express delivery company.
International delivery – Import duties & local taxes
Our website prices include UK value-added tax (VAT). Should you require your jewellery delivered outside the UK, we will automatically remove UK VAT during the checkout process at its prevailing rate. Your order may be subject to import duties, local taxes, levies and other charges once it reaches its destination country. These charges are determined by local legislation and we have no control over them. We advise that you check your local import duties prior to ordering. This is particularly important if you are ordering a gift that will be sent directly to the giftee, as the recipient is responsible for all customs formalities.
We are currently trialling a system where certain delivery countries can pay tax and duty during checkout. This ensures your jewellery reaches you without you incurring further customs charges. If you don't see the exact amount, you will see an estimate of duty and tax, so you have a better idea of these charges prior to ordering. We hope you find this useful and welcome any feedback at info@sheilafleet.com.
