Every detail of the Kirk has had Sheila and her son Martin’s personal attention. Prepare to step into designer heaven as you walk through the original church entrance. The spacious interior combines features of traditional Orkney stone-work with a touch of architectural inspiration from Sheila’s travels.
Look around and you’ll see the original pulpit with its lofty view over the new, purpose-built display cabinets, while soft-coloured light stretches from the stained-glass windows.
Glance upwards and you’ll see the original brass lamps that once lit church services, now shining on Sheila’s silver, gold and platinum designs below.
And the eagle-eyed will spot a carving of Birsay Disc, Sheila's first jewellery design, embedded in the Kirk's original wooden ceiling. This carving, as well as much of the carpentry within The Kirk, was completed by Leo Kerr and his team at Leo Kerr Carpentry in Orkney.
Once you've soaked in the feast of design and detail in the historic Kirk, ‘take a pew’ in the Kirk Café where you'll find a range of mouth-watering dishes, cakes and bakes to choose from. It’s the perfect place to relax as you consider that special purchase.
We are rated as Orkney's top eating establishment on TripAdvisor and have maintained a 5-star Travellers' Choice Award since 2020.

"Visit The Kirk Gallery to discover traditional and contemporary Scottish jewellery, all designed and made in Orkney. Our fantastic retail team will be delighted to show you many of Sheila's engagement and wedding rings, and designer Scottish jewellery, all within our beautiful Kirk building. Ask us to measure your finger so you can find the perfect designer ring! We can also show you exclusive designs made in rare Scottish Gold. Sheila Fleet is one of only two jewellers authorised to receive Scottish Gold from Cononish, Scotland's only commercial gold mine."
